Fresh from its appearance as the safety car at the Le Mans 24 hours, the Audi R8 will be take on the same role in the DTM race series and the model will make it a double debut with a second R8 serving as a racing taxi as well.
As you would expect from the superb mid-engined sportscar, the required modifications were only minimal. "There were not many modifications required, though, because the R8 possesses the genes of a perfect sports car,” says Werner Frowein, managing director of quattro GmbH.
Both the safety car and racing taxi will be used for the first time at the Norisring Speed Weekend

The 2009 Range Rover Autobiography also offers new 20-inch diamond-turned twin-seven-spoke alloy wheels, new paint colours and an optional half wood steering wheel with matching gearshift insert.

Across the Range Rover line-up for 2009 there are new wheel styles, new exterior colours and optional wood and leather heated steering wheels. Satellite navigation and Hybrid TV will now be available as standard from HSE specification, and an exterior design pack featuring Supercharged grille, side vents, lights and stainless steel pedals will now be available on the TDV8 Autobiography which will be available from £72,995 on the road.

2009 BMW 7-Series revealed

It’s finally here — the long-awaited redesign to the controversial BMW 7-Series. Photos leaked online today of the luxury sedan, which is expected to make its official debut in a few days, about two weeks ahead of the British Motor Show, where it will be on display.


The new 750i is powered by BMW’s 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8, which first appeared under the hood of the new X6. The more powerful 760i is motivated by the familiar 6.0-liter V12. To differentiate the two models, the V8 car will sport two square tail pipes whereas the V12 car will use four square outlets.

All models are equipped with a new eight-speed automatic transmission. The new transmission will also see the shifter moved from the steering column back to the center console.

Despite having two more gears than the current 7-Series, the new gearbox doesn’t take up any more space than the six-speed and is smoother and more efficient. The extra gears should also help the 7-Series see a six percent bump in fuel economy. The new transmission is also said to be very versatile, meaning it will probably spread to other BMW models, too.

Four-wheel steering will be included on the 7-Series option list, with an all-wheel drive option slated to be offered in a few years.

A new night vision system promises to increase safety for pedestrians. The new system will be able to detect human presence in front of the vehicle and then flash a warning symbol on the display. Moreover, the system will be able to tell if a pedestrian is in the road or safely on the sidewalk, although the it’s not clear how the system can differentiate the two.

The new system is so advanced, it’s also able to read speed limit signs and warn drivers when they are driving too fast. However, this feature will only be available in Europe for the time being.

The big BMW will also be keeping an eye on your speed during inclement weather. The camera can detect fog or rain, and will warn drivers when they are approaching an unsafe speed. Despite the warning, the system has no control over the speed of the vehicle so lead foots need not worry.

- ويمكن ايقاف او تبنيد الشاشه كليا ...

- تقنية عرض المعلومات على الزجاج الامامي head up display للسياره تبين سرعة السائق وعلى اي ار بي ام و خصائص الملاحه كالاسهم التي تم تحسينها لتصبح بالابعاد الثلاثيه .....و تبين ايضا محطة الراديو مثلا التي انته تسمعها الان بالاضاف هالى خصائص الهاتف ........كل هذا على الزجاجه الاماميه!!!!!!

- قبضة جير متطوره حيث يمكنك من ال ضغط فقط ليتم التحويل بين الانتقال من الوقوف الى السير الى الامام او الخلف كضغط اي زر عادي!!

- اربع اساليب للقياده : مريح , عادي او نورمال , و رياضي , سوبر رياضي ....حيث انها تؤثر على كثير من الاشياء في القياده ليس فقط نظام التعليق فهي تؤثر على المحرك واستجابته و على تعشيق الجير او التبديل وتؤثر على المقود وعلى الاكتف ستييرنج active steering وعلى ايضا نظام ال daynamic stability control .....الخ....

- نظام i drive جديد بالكالمل حيث يعتبر الجيل الثاني مع تحسين ملحوظ في عرض الشاشة والاشياء الموجودة فيها .كالالوان والقوائم .........ألخ..............,,,,مع نظام جديد لاختصارات والوصول للقوائم المطلوبه...ويمكنك ايضا تصفح الانترنت عبره!!

بعض خصائص نظام idrive الجديد:

- 8 ازرار للاختصارات .........وتعني او خلونا نعطي المثال المكتوب هناك...

مثال: يوم تشغل السياره وتشغل نظام الملاحه تقوم بتضبيط الخريطه بشكل معين و بسكيل معين و عرض معين للماكن مثل محطات البترول فقط دون غيرها عندما تقوم بتخزين هذه الاعدادات يمكنك فقط الرجوع اليها بالضغط على الزر ,......فتصبح الاعدادات المحفوظة في الزر موجودة امامك..........ويقول هذا الزر بتحسس قوة ضغط يدك له فان كانت خفيفه تكون للتأكد فتظهر الاعدادات او القائمه المحفوظة في الزر بشكل شفاف في الشاشه لتأكد من رغبتك في فتح هذه القائمه وان كنت متاكد فاضغط بقوة اكبر اما ان كنت لات ريدها فهي تتلاشا ....او يمكنك ان كنت تعرف الاشياء الموجوده في الازرار التي قمت بتخزينها سابقا فاضغت بقوه لتظهر في الشاشه مباشره

- ومن خصائص نظام الملاحه عرض الاماكن ليس فقط بالسامي بل بالاماكن ايضا...

- تم تحسين ايضا التحكم الصوتي للقوائم حيث انك تستطيع ان تعمل وظائف نظام idrive من خلال التكلم مع السياره وتظهر امامك ايضا بعض الكلمات او الجمل الممكن استخدامها ...

اما عن المحرك فهو نفس المحرك الموجود في سيارة الاكس 6 المكون من 8 اسطوانات وبجير بوكس يتكون من 8 او 6 ((مش متاكدين))سرعات يمكن ل 750 الانطلاق من 0 الى 100 كم في غضون 5.2 اي من 0 الى 62 ميل لتكون الاسرع في فئتها...

ومن الاشياء الي في الجير اليديد ان الداون شفت down shift الي فيه حسس يمكن ان ينزل من الغيار او السرعه السادسه الى 3 في اسرع وقت ممكن بمجرد انك "تدعس" ليؤمن لك انطلاقه قويه .....

وهناك تقنيه جديده وهي ال 4 wheel steering حيث تمكنك من التحكم في العجلات الاربع على حسب السرعه التي تقودها حيث ان مستوى دوران المقود يختلف من سرعه الى اخرى ليؤمن لك الراحه في القياده ......بالاضافه الى حركة العجلات الخلفيه وقت الخطوره فمثلا اذا نزلت الامطار ومثلا تريد ان تتوقف لسبب طارئ او لخطور معينه انزلاق او ما شابه ......يمكن للسياره التوقف الامن وتفادي الانزلاق عن طريق توجيه الاطار الخلفي عكس الاطار الامامي وهكذا....لتؤمن لك توقف افضل واسرع واامن

Analogous to the Help functions of today’s computers, BMW now delivers the owner’s manual electronically, via iDrive. In just seconds, the user can access information on virtually any detail of the vehicle’s equipment, systems, operation, etc…like a traditional owner’s manual, only better. Subjects are presented in a multimedia format of animations, slide shows with sound and written de******ion.

In another new-age, highly desirable departure from the traditional owner’s manual, the IOM is vehicle-specific; that is, the version that goes with each new 7 Series vehicle corresponds to that exact vehicle with its specific model designation and options. Various information paths – brief instructions, picture search, keyword and context searches – are available to the user. The user can also store specific subjects on the Programmable Memory Keys. In addition, the IOM can be updated as appropriate via the BMW center.

تويوتا تقرر إلغاءالجيل القادم من أفالون ولكزس تلغي SC430


Sales of the bulbous Lexus SC 430, one of the vehicles that kick-started the current hardtop convertible fad in the U.S., have slowed so significantly that Toyota's luxury brand has reportedly canceled its replacement. The four-place, V8-powered, rear-wheel-drive vehicle never fit well into any specific niche, as it boasted neither the sportiness of the ragtop Jaguar XK and Porsche 911, nor the snob appeal of the BMW 6 Series. Through the first six months of this year, Lexus sold only 1,230 SC's, down 40% from last year. What fans the Lexus sport coupes/convertible does have need not worry, however, as the brand will be launching the much more potent (and substantially more impressive) LF-A supercar at some point in the future.

According to Inside Line, the SC isnt the only Toyota product without a future. The Avalon entry-level Buick luxury sedan is also on the chopping block. Fans of the boring unpretentious Avalon can instead look forward to an extended-length version of the Camry sedan to take its spot in Toyota's U.S. lineup.
