DOHA. The Qatar Financial Center Regulatory Authority (QFCRA) has granted a license to global investment bank Lehman Brothers to operate as an authorized firm in the Qatar Financial Center (QFC). The company, which is also exploring other opportunities in the Middle East, plans to offer a range of investment banking and capital markets services in Qatar and Dubai, where it was granted a license last year. Lehman Brothers has also established a strategic relationship with the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) to capitalize on principal investment opportunities. This will help further the QIA’s strategy to develop partnerships with a limited number of leading commercial groups, investment organizations and financial institutions. Jeremy Isaacs, the chief executive officer of Lehman Brothers Europe & Asia said, “Lehman Brothers is laying the foundation for a strong and successful business in the Middle East. The region is very important to the firm and we look forward to developing new client relationships, as well as growing existing relationships, in 2007 and beyond.” Lehman Brothers serves the financial needs of corporations, governments and municipalities, institutional clients, and high net worth individuals. مفاوضات بين "قطر للإستثمار" وبنك أمريكي لشراء حصة مقابل 6 مليارات دولار

شرع جهاز قطر للاستثمار في مفاوضات متعددة الأطراف مع عدة هيئات وبنوك بريطانية لإيجاد صيغة توافقية تنهي مشاكل الديون التي كانت تتخبط فيها أربع مؤسسات بريطانية للرعاية الصحية ومدارس لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة سبق وأن ورث الجهاز القطري 50% من أسهمها عقب فك ارتباطاته المالية مع المستثمر البريطاني بول تيلور يونيو الماضي وحل صندوق 3 دالتا المسؤول عن الصفقة الذي أبرمها عام 2006 بمبلغ 3 مليارات جنيه إسترليني.
وأشارت تقارير إقتصادية أمس أن جهاز قطر للاستثمار تمكن من إعادة ترتيب مجمع سيناد لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة وحل تعقيداته المالية مع بنك نوميرا الياباني، وذلك يعني أن الجهاز قد بسط سيطرته على هذه الهيئة التي حققت رغم مشاكلها أرباحا قياسية مقارنة مع السنتين الماضيتين. وما تزال تجري المفاوضات بشأن شركة فورسيزنس لرعاية المسنين وقيمتها 1.4 مليار جنيه وهيئة " أن. هيتش. بي" للرعاية الصحية وقيمتها 1.3 مليار جنيه وأخيرا شركة كير برانسيبلس للرعاية النفسية وقيمتها 270 مليون جنيه، علما أن فورسيزنس كانت قد استنفدت مهلتها الاولى من سبتمبر لإعادة دفع جزء من ديونها لبنك أر بي أس البريطاني وإيجاد صيغة تمويلية بشروط جديدة أو أن تضطر جميع الأطراف لإعلان إفلاسها ومن ثمة وضعها تحت الرقابة الإدارية قبل تحديد طرق تصفيتها. غير أن الجديد في الأمر هو ما ذكرته صحيفة فاينانشال تايمز في عدد أمس من أن الشركة المعنية قد نجحت في تجنب قرار الرقابة الإدارية وأُعطيت مهلة إضافية لم تُحدد بعد وأصبح الملف الآن بين يدي هيئات استشارية ممثلة لجميع الأطراف ومنها بنك كريدي سويس و شركة ارنست اند يونغ ممثلين عن الهيئة القطرية على أمل أن يُطوى هذا الملف بشكل نهائي. أما بالنسبة ل " أن. هيتش. بي" فلديها مهلة حتى يناير 2009، بينما لا تشكل شركة كير برانسيبلس أي عائق باعتبار أن حصة قطر فيها ضئيلة جدا.
وتعد الخطوة القطرية بحسب ما نقلته فاينانشل تايمز عن محللين ماليين على علاقة بالملف بمثابة إعادة هيكلة لاستثمارات الجهاز في بريطانيا في أعقاب فك الارتباط مع رجل الأعمال بول تيلور وتؤكد ذات المصادر أن الجانب القطري لم يكن مرتاحا أبدا لإصرار تيلور على تنفيذ استثمارات في مجال الرعاية الصحية في وقت كان التركيز فيه على تقديم عرض لشراء سلسلة متاجر سينزبيري العملاقة بمبلغ 21 مليار دولار أمريكي.
ويعتقد كثير من المحللين في الحي المالي بلندن أن انتهاء قطر من طي هذا الملف سيفتح لها الباب واسعا للتركيز على استثمارات كبيرة في قطاعات مالية واقتصادية أكثر مرونة مثلما حدث شهر يوليو الماضي في بنك باركليز وبورصة لندن وزيادة عدد الأسهم في سلسة سينزبيري التجارية، فضلا عن ورود أنباء عن إمكانية شراء حصة في أر بي أس ثاني أكبر بنك في بريطانيا.
ومن جهة اخرى أكد بنك ليهمان بروذرز الأمريكي أنه يجري هذا الأسبوع محادثات مع جهات آسيوية عقب طرحه حصة كبيرة من أسهمه للبيع مقابل 6 مليارات دولار أمريكي. وعلى الرغم من أن بيان للبنك أكد أمس أن مفاوضات متقدمة جدا تمت مع بنك التنمية الكوري، إلا أنه كشف بالمقابل عن اتصالات مهمة تمت أيضا مع جهاز قطر للاستثمار وهيئة الاستثمار في أبو ظبي إضافة إلى بنك من الصين في خطوة قال عنها البنك بأنها تمثل خطة احترازية في حال تعثر المحادثات مع الجانب الكوري.
ويحتاج ليهمان بروذرز الاستثماري ومقره وال ستريت مليارات الدولارات ليضخها في ميزانيته وبعض مشاريعه التي سجلت تعثرا، ومع ذلك يؤكد البيان أن البنك لا يوجد في مرحلة الخطر . :anger1:وفي محاولة لإنجاح صفقاته القادمة قام البنك بفصل قطاع العقارات في وحدة خاصة بعيدا عن مشاريع المستثمرين ممن يتجنبون قطاع العقارات المسؤول الأول عن الأزمة العالمية الراهنة.
الخبر قبل اسبوعين اي قبل انهيار وافلاس البنك ب14 يوم فقط ويجرون مفاوضات :secret:

جماعتنا عندهم ايمان اعمى بالأجنبي !!
مع العلم أن شركاتنا الوطنية أكثر كفائة من حيث الادارة و الأفضل من حيث الربحية .
و من اسباب نزول السوق تسييل ليمان برذرز لمحافظة في الخليج للحصول على سيولة لتغطية كارثة الرهونات العقارية في الولايات المتحدة .
نتمنى نكون استفدنا من الدرس و نعيد النظر في دخول الاستثمارات الاجنبية بجميع اشكالها وكذلك الاستثمار في تلك الدول
